Cancellation Policy

1. Reservations A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total retreat price secures your booking. The booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the deposit. Full payment is required 60 days before the retreat start date (immediately if booking within 60 days). Payment plans may be arranged but must be fully paid 30 days before the retreat. All prices are inclusive of taxes (16% VAT). 2. Cancellations & Refunds Guest Cancellations More than 60 days before retreat: Deposit forfeited; balance refunded. 30–59 days before retreat: 50% refund of total cost (deposit non-refundable). Less than 30 days before retreat: No refund. We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellations, medical emergencies, and evacuations. Retreat Cancellations (by Asili Retreats) If we cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, guests will receive a full refund or credit toward a future retreat. 3. Health, Safety & Conduct Participation & Liability Disclose any medical conditions or allergies when booking. Sign a liability waiver upon arrival; participation is at your own risk. We may remove guests engaging in unsafe, disrespectful, or disruptive behavior without refund. Retreat Rules Respect others: No harassment, illegal drugs, or excessive alcohol. Digital mindfulness: Phones are discouraged in shared spaces. Damages: Guests are responsible for any property damage caused. 4. Privacy & Media Personal information is used solely for booking, communication, and safety. Photos or videos may be taken during the retreat for promotional use. Guests may opt out in writing if they do not wish to appear in media. 5. Force Majeure Asili Retreats is not responsible for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or political unrest. Refunds cannot be guaranteed, but we will offer credit or rescheduling options whenever possible. 6. Right of Withdrawal Due to the fixed scheduling of retreats, the right of withdrawal under EU law (Art. 16 para. 2 no. 3 Consumer Rights Directive) does not apply. 7. Governing Law All bookings and disputes are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya.
